Obituary for Robert William ""Bob"" Beck

Robert “Bob” Beck, 77 formerly of Weston, WV. went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on August 5, 2020 in the WV Veteran’s Nursing Home of Clarksburg, WV. He was born on October 13, 1942 in Cleveland, OH. In 1961 he chose to honor his love of country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. While stationed out of Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA he proudly served two tours in Vietnam where he earned many honors including the Purple Heart. He retired as a Staff Sergeant with the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division after 14 years of faithful service. On May 29, 1975 Bob married the love of his life, Betty L. Daniel (Beck) in Dumfries, VA
.
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 27 years Betty Beck, and one son James C. Hurst.

Bob is survived by one brother James Beck and wife Connie of Minnesota, five children: John Brooks, Bill Brooks and wife Betty, Charleen Smith and husband Don, Cathy Stout and husband Mike, Carmella Fallo and husband Charles all of Weston, WV. Eleven grandchildren: Chuck Fallo and wife Jennifer of Weston, Christina Stout and her significant other Jamie of Weston, Jamie Fagan and husband Mike of Chambersburg, PA, Scott Fallo of Weston, BJ Lee of Glenville, WV, Jackie Marshall and husband Chris of Oakley, KS, Alex Brooks and wife Laura of Cascade, VA, Cindy Hamner and her significant other TJ Sirbaugh of Weston, Steven Hurst and wife Tara of Leesburg, VA, Bobby Smith and significant other Natalie of Fairmont, Shelby Baker and husband Brent of Clarksburg. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

Private family funeral services will be held at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Martin Wine officiating .Public visitation will be held from 11AM to 1PM on Wednesday with internment to follow funeral services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV where he will be laid to rest next to Betty. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
