Obituary for Mary Jean Lockhart (Clevenger)

Mary Jean Lockhart, 77, of Rock Crest Road Weston passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Gilmer County on August 5, 1942: daughter of the late Thomas Clevenger and Druzilla (Moore) Lockhart. On April 16, 1960, she married William Ernie Lockhart, who survives.

She is also survived by two daughters: Kimberly Lockhart Conrad of Rock Hill, SC and Sheila Lockhart of Weston, one son: William Gene Lockhart and wife Sharon of Horner, 7 grandchildren: Kristy McCoy, Jennifer Sargent, Steven Lockhart, Joshua Lockhart, Shawn Conrad, William Michael Lockhart and Ryan Lockhart and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother: Richard “Dick” Clevenger of Grafton, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son: David Lee Lockhart, one brother: Donald Clevenger and one sister: Madge Isenhart.

Mrs. Lockhart was a glassworker with the Louie Glass Factory and the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company both of Weston. She also worked in Dr. Trefz office and was a waitress at the Caravan Restaurant. She also worked in people’s homes as a caregiver. She enjoyed working in plastic canvas and pitching
horseshoes with family and friends. Mary was happy when she was working and spending time with her family.
