Obituary for Lori Dawn Hamrick (Bleigh)

Lori Dawn Bleigh Hamrick received her ultimate healing on June 23, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born on November 12, 1971 at Union Protestant Hospital in Harrison County, West Virginia to Sharon and Noah Bleigh Jr. She was united in marriage to Tim Hamrick from the young age of 18 and the two recently shared their 30th wedding anniversary.

Lori was passionate about everything she did. Throughout her life, she was always involved in sports, Giovanni’s, the community and most importantly, her family. Lori was a giver. Her family and God were the center of her universe and it was evident in everything she did. There is undeniable evidence that Lori was the greatest mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.

Lori’s faith and strength were a witness to the love and power of God. She impacted the lives of so many through her kindness, giving heart and strength.

She is proceeded in death by her in laws, Jackie and Harold Hamrick; grandparents, Bernard and Nell Jerden, and Noah Sr. and Lanna Bleigh; as well as brothers-in-law, Mike Hamrick and Rick McCauley; and niece Jessica Brittany Corley.

Lori is survived by her husband, Tim Hamrick; children, Noah and Karli Hamrick of Weston; her parents, Noah and Sharon Bleigh of Jane Lew; one sister, Stephanie Bleigh of Oakland, Maryland and her children: nieces, Alli and Emma Shaffer, Myah Watson and nephew, Kane Watson. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lori was a 1990 Lewis County High School Graduate and graduate of Glenville State College. She owned and operated Giovanni’s since December of 1993, where she made many friends and extended family members.

She was a lifetime member of Mt. Morris United Methodist Church. Lori was loved and cherished by so many and left a significant impact on everyone she encountered. With her new set of lungs, Lori is likely talking basketball or soaking up the sun on the beach. By His stripes, she is healed.

A public viewing will be held Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. and a private service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon at Hardman Family Funeral Home, located at 730 N Main Ave. It is strongly recommended to wear masks and exercise social distancing. Interment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew. Online condolences and life stories in memory of Lori may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com.
