Obituary for Helen Marie Raines (Parker)

Helen Marie Raines, 67, of Camden passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport following an extended illness. She was born in Gilmer County on July 9, 1952: the daughter of the late Arley Parker and Audrey (Stump) Parker. On November 16, 1985, she married Andrew M. Raines, who survives.

She is also survived by two sons: Paul Edward Parker and wife Michelle of Camden and Robert Daniel Rexroad and fiancé Valla Riddle of Alum Bridge, five grandchildren: Matthew Parker, Jared, Hunter and Nathan Rexroad and Adan Riddle and one great granddaughter: Paislyn Marie Rexroad. She is also survived two brothers: Arley Parker,Jr of Belpre, WV and Billy Joe Parker and wife Brenda of Linn, one sister: Janice Richards and husband Eugene of Linn and several nieces and nephews. In Addition to her family, Helen was preceded in death by three brothers: Delbert “Pete”, Charles and Sherley Parker and two sisters: Rosalie Lunsford and Donna Lynn Odom.

At one time, Mrs. Raines was a manager at our local McDonald’s. She was a graduate of Gilmer County High School of Glenville and a member of the Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church of Camden, WV. Her hobbies included crocheting and going to yard sales. Her greatest joy was taking care of her grandkids. She will be missed by family and friends throughout her community.

Family and friends will be received at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 11am from the Hardman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Jenkins officiating.
