Obituary for Ann M. White (Engelhardt)
Ann M. White, of Weston died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 11, 2020, having just celebrated her 81st birthday. She was born February 9, 1939, in New York City: a daughter of the late Roy and Emma Engelhardt. On May 24, 1958, she married Robert White, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1998.
Mrs. White is survived by sons: Robert (Chris) White of Elk River, Minnesota; Mark (Kathy) White of Camden and Ken (Billie) White of Weston; daughter: Nancy (Eric) Metz of Weston; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Since suffering a stroke in April 2015, she made her home with Ken and Billie and was very happy there with her dog, Pooh who welcomed her in Heaven. She will be missed greatly by her family and newest dog, Rosie and grand-pup, Bruce. She enjoyed going to Our Neighbor almost weekly looking for deals for herself and her family.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman Family Funeral Home with Jerry Francis officiating. Interment will be in the Carder Cemetery at Vadis. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Ann may be expressed at hardmanfamilyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Claws and Whiskers or LUV 4 ANIMALS- non-profits that exclusively benefit the Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility, to honor her deep love for animals.
